Last week there was a sale on whole pork shoulders at Sobeys. We are planning on making a whole lot of croquettes in February so this came at a great time. However, I wasn't expecting them to be so big! Who would have thought pigs actually get that big :-) After going back and forth about whether or not to get one - I picked the smallest one which was still 17 pounds!! Monday morning Roelof spent it cutting the shoulder into pieces. We cooked up half of it for pulled pork which is pictured below. We had one meal of it and three containers for the freezer and that's only half of the shoulder! It was super yummy!!
