Oregon Coast

This summer part of my job required me to go to Oregon with a group of 11 teenagers.  We had a blast and many memories were made.  On one of the days we headed out to the Oregon coast.  It was very cold - only about 60 degrees plus it was super windy.  But we couldn't have asked for a better day.  We left quite early so we could head to Boiler Bay while the tide was out.  We first had to climb down about a 60 foot wall of rocks - it was harder going down than up..(these pics are from a student - I didn't have a camera all week :-(

We had a blast in Boiler Bay and I was able to go Tide Pooling for the first time.  In the rocks were small little holes with lots of different sea creatures and since the tide was out we could go from pool to pool exploring what was in each one.  We saw lots of star fish, anemones, sea urchins, clams and lots of oysters.  It was so beautiful!

I climbed a lot of rocks and spent a good deal of time just sitting on one looking out at the ocean reflecting on the beauty of God's creation.

Here are a couple more great pictures from our morning at Boiler Bay.  Later on in the day we drove by again and the tide had completely covered where we were walking earlier that morning.
